Pakikialam o Pakikilahok?

This is just one of the statements which we, Filipino Youth find so absurd and discriminating.

To formally start this, I will introduce myself. Not bragging or whatever but ever since I took part of Imus Youth Leadership Development Program, we learned how the government works and of course, we were taught with a lot of values and traits to be able to lead effectively. And as a member of IYLDP, we were honorary members of the Imus Empowered Youth Movement.

To be honest, ever since I went through IYLDP and became a member of IEYM, nagkaroon na ako ng awareness and ng PAKE sa kung ano man nangyayari sa gobyerno natin. Hindi lamang ako nagkaroon ng pake at awareness, just like what I mentioned earlier, natutunan ko kung paano ba pinapatakbo ang gobyerno. Oo, hindi madali. You can’t work on a problem overnight. Sa totoo lang, we attended a lot of sessions regarding different kinds of matter. And since we were elected as Junior City Officials, we were asked to write our OWN ordinance or resolution. Unfortunately, hindi naman nagawa since mahirap nga siya at mabusisi. Pero, we had a project naman for especially made for us youth, which is a social media fest focusing on showcasing the talents and capabilities of young Imuseños and educating how social media should be helpful not just to the youth, but to everyone.

Ngayon, the point why I made this blog is kung bakit daw ba kami nakikialam kung hindi pa naman kami botante.. kung di pa naman kami makakaboto. Bakit nga ba? SIGURO dahil may pakialam kami dito dahil para rin naman sa kinabukasan namin ito. Isipin niyo na lang, in the near future, makakaboto na din kami, magkakaroon na kami ng buong karapatan upang piliin kung sino ang gusto namin mamuno sa ating bansa. In the near future, manggagaling na din sa henerasyon namin ang mga mamumuno. Isipin niyo na lang, kailangan na ma-involve na kami agad dito para hindi maulit sa henerasyon namin ang mga kamalian na nagawa noon.

To end this… Ang kakayahan na nga lang namin ay magbigay ng suporta sa mga napupusuan namin na mamuno sa susunod na administrasyon, sa susunod na henerasyon, tatanggalin niyo pa ba ang karapatan na iyon?
