Philippine Schools as Fashion Runways?!

“Bawas gastusin sa mga magulang ang target ni Mayor Rodrigo Duterte kung kaya't balak niya ring ipatupad ang no school uniform policy sa mga eskwelahan.” [ source: http://news.abs-cbn.com/video/nation/05/17/16/duterte-eyes-no-school-uniform-policy ] The presumptive president of the Philippines, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte plans to implement a “ no school uniform” policy in our schools. When this plan was raised on the news, it became the topic of all social media sites. The Filipino teenagers were 50-50 about it. Some reacted to it positively, while some saw this plan in a negative way. Well on my side, wearing a school uniform makes me feel the school environment even more. It’s like a jacket in the cold weather for me. It gave me what I call the ‘school vibes’. And also, as the class secretary who always check the uniforms of my classmates, I really find it annoying and informal when a classmate wears either improper or incomplete uniform. It even pisses me when I see them ro

Hello, Local Hugot!

Hey guys! It was not that long time ago since I started posting “ Mabilisang Hugot” posts, and as you can notice, my latest blog updates are written in Filipino. Based on the audience who read my blogs, most of you are not from Philippines so I guess it’s kind of a wrong move to write in my native language. But I needed to do it so I could freely express my points in the upcoming elections in our country. I hope through my blogs, some Filipinos were educated or at least opened their minds about the thoughts of most Filipino teenagers about the elections. Anyway, for my Filipino readers, I’m not gonna post any more “Mabilisang Hugot” posts in my blog but instead, I started a twitter account with my friend, Elleisha. It’s called @localhugot ( https://twitter.com/localhugot ) and it is where we post  hugots. You can find there English or Tagalog hugots originally made by us, your favorite hugot lines from your favorite people, movies and books and also your favorite hugot

Truth & Consequence

Truth or Consequence is a game we start to play when we’re in middle school years (cause this is the time where you start having crushes and also where we began to think of crazy and naughty dares and stuff). But we’re not gonna talk about that game. Yesterday, I realized that telling the truth is facing a consequence too. So if you chose to tell the truth in the truth or consequence game, then you’re hitting two birds with one stone. Just like in real life, if you chose to tell the truth, be prepared to face a consequence… or consequences! Telling the truth makes someone feel really good. I mean if you have a lot of burden in your chest, then I guess telling the truth will make you feel so damn good. But later on, you will realize its consequences. It may be good or bad consequences. But how can you know if the consequence will be good or bad? Well, you won’t know about it unless you try it . To tell the truth takes a lot of courage to do and patience to wait for the ri

Muling Pakikialam

If you’re a Filipino and you haven’t heard of Daniel Padilla saying “Marami kasi nagmamagaling sa eleksyon, hindi naman botante, so shut up ka na lang, hindi ka naman botante,” well if not you’re missing out a lot. [ but im so nice so yeah here’s an article from Rappler about it: http://www.rappler.com/entertainment/news/131773-daniel-padilla-netizens-artists-for-mar-roxas ] Daniel Padilla – teen king, THEY SAID. I mean if he really is the “teen king” well then he needs to represent the teenagers. I don’t actually like him or hate him but when he said that ‘shut up ka na lang’ statement, kasing init na ng panahon ngayon sa Pinas ang dugo ko sa kanya. If he really is the “teen king” sana naman nagpakundangan siya sa statement niya na kung di pa botante eh “shut up muna”, I mean I know na alam niya naman siguro na hindi na lang nagsasa-walang kibo yung mga kabataan ngayon sa darating na halalan. He could have said something na less offensive. And to his butthurt fans, hindi ko n
