When I'm no longer #TeamBahay

Image
“Aw I guess I will just see you guys at the next Click Playfest. Maybe it’s not yet my time. Maybe someone deserves those tickets better.” I remember the night when I was tweeting those statements a week before Click Playfest because I did not win the tickets in the raffles that I’ve joined for CPF. So I really felt hopeless and devastated at that time since I   thought   that I will stay as   #TeamBahay . So yeah, the next morning, I felt a lot lazier than ever before. I actually didn’t want to go to school but since I need to study hard so that I could have a great job in the future and have a lot of money and go to a bunch of tours, I decided to just go to school a little late. I decided to check out my Twitter first, though I think it will just hurt because 98% of my mutuals are going to Click Playfest. But still I did, since I’m   manhid na   when it comes to getting heartbroken with not going to tours and concerts. So I opened it and checked my notifs first, everybody

#AskMaryAngela: FILTERS

Q:   What app and filter do you use with your Instagram posts? A:   For my Instagram Posts, I use   VSCO Cam .   I don’t have a filter that I consistently use, because I rarely use ready-to-use filters. I would often adjust the brightness, saturation, fade, vignette, sharpness, etc. Not using ready-to-use filters makes your shot more personal because you will be the one to control the amount of brightness, saturation, highlights, etc. Well, that is the actual reason why I have a messy feed. Hehehehe :-----) -- So yeah, I just shared how I apply filters on my IG posts, if you haven’t check them out, here’s a link to my Instagram account:   https://instagram.com/mxryxngxlx/ . And if in case you didn’t know that I have a blog which is only for photos, here is the link too:   http://indecorouslassphotographs.blogspot.com/ .

ACCEPTANCE

acceptance noun  ac·cep·tance \ik-ˈsep-tən(t)s, ak-\ : the act of accepting something or someone : the quality of being accepted or acceptable You have done everything but your best was not enough. You sacrificed so much just to achieve it but you still failed. You gave your all for it but it was still not given to you. It’s because some things are not meant for you. Maybe “now” is not the right time. If I fail today, I will try to believe that it was not given to me because it is not that special time YET. Maybe you need to prepare yourself harder and try hardest. You have tried your best but someone is better. You need to assess yourself and improve yourself further. Maybe you’re not yet really ready. Maybe you just think you can, but you actually can’t. It’s not bad to dream, but you should learn how to accept when your dreams won’t come true. Life isn’t a fairytale. You can’t ask your fairy godmother to have this or that, you can’t ask the genie for t

#AskMaryAngela: FANDOMS AND SOCIETAL AWARENESS

Q:   Teen nowadays engage in several fandoms rather than societal awareness to the point that there are fandom wars and government ignorance. As a teen what is your opinion about this? A:   As one of the teenagers who is involved with several fandoms, I don't think that fangirling is a reason for us to be not aware of what has been happening in our society. Well for me, fandom wars and government ignorance is not always caused by engaging in fandoms but it's a choice of getting involved with such nuisance. It is your choice if you want to be distracted and be badly influenced by joining fandoms or to take joining fandoms as an opportunity to meet different kinds of people, be socially aware and maybe mentally grow further.

These Amazing People

*random senpai/s appreciation post* I will be leaving you a short list (with a sprinkle of fangirling in it) of all the people who I really admire for doing great things and inspiring different people in their own ways. p.s it doesn’t follow any order or what, I just type who pops out from my mind. CHA OCAMPO A.K.A. the Queen of Black is a lifestyle and fashion blogger who actually inspired me to make my own blog. One thing that I really like about her is that she is really honest in expressing herself. She is so honest to her readers that some of them can relate to her life experiences. She is also nice and smart-looking for me. Well for me, she is the best blogger! ELLEISHA ANGELES An internet bestfriend who is actually " goals ". Her instagram feed and youtube vlogs are enough for me to feel relaxed after a long day. She is also nice; like she always cheers me up every time I feel so down and alone. She is also not scared to share h

Resentment

Image
Resentment, a contemporary romance written by Nicole London will be published today, October 29, 2015. Here’s a little sneak peek to the story. Re•sent•ment (noun) The act of hating – no, fucking loathing Dean Collins. (Yes, I’m well aware that’s not the actual definition, but it might as well be...) It’s been ten years since we've seen each other and the feelings are still as strong. I’m not going to bore you with all the details of how our love was once intoxicating, consuming, and perfect. Because it was . . . until it wasn't. I've been fine without him. I haven’t missed his cruelty, his coldness and his spite. And after the ugliest breakup in the history of breakups, I forced myself to move on. Year by year, the feelings I had for him slowly drifted away, but one encounter with him recently changed everything. One encounter made me realize how the heart doesn't forget shit, and how my mind is going to have to work ove

§   I SAW THE POPE I saw him personally. Like a few steps away! But it went so fast and yet I’m still thankful that I actually saw him. §   I finally started my blog! Actually I have made a blog a long time ago but unfortunately, it’s either I will forgot my password or the email I used to make an account or not update or just completely forget that I have a blog. But finally!!!!!!!! After a long wait ( where no one really waited.. ) I finally made a blog (and you’re here right now!!) which I update for at least every month. §   I joined an interschool campus journalism. So yes, recently, I joined a campus journalism which is called DSPC or the Divisions School Press Conference where students from public and private schools gathered to express themselves through journalism. Well I joined photojournalism, unfortunately I did not win but hey it’s my first time and I actually don’t know about it. All I know is that I should take eye-catching shots and give a very heart-warmin

Today, in the campus..

Image
BOUNDED WITH ONE OBJECTIVE.   This is not an ordinary day in Alapan I Elementary School. Today, different kinds of students from various schools are gathered with a common goal, and that is to showcase their gifts of journalism. NO ONE CAN RESTRAIN. Despite of events being held in their campus, like the DSPC, the students are still in focus. The students from the first section of the fifth grade yearn to learn more as persistent as the participants of the DSPC to win. THE SOUL BEHIND EVERYTHING.  As we celebrate the National Teachers’ Month, I am giving much honor to the people who have given us so much of themselves to impart us with knowledge and values. DSPC will not be possible without our dear teachers because through them we were able to read and write. The Start of IYLDP Adventures

Imus Youth Leadership Development Program, often referred to as IY or IYLDP, is a program especially made for students to train them to become great leaders in the future. Fifty six (56) schools in Imus were given a chance to choose their representatives. The participants are carefully hand-picked by the authorities and coordinators of the program mentioned and I was so lucky that I am one of the 75 students from 22 different schools who will undergo the leadership development program especially made for the young Imuseños. Last September 11, we had our orientation regarding the program. We were given an IYLDP kit which will help us throughout our whole journey in the program. We also took a lot of pictures, like a lot! I swear, some of them may be embarrassing because mostly are stolen shots. * hides under the chair* The day after the orientation, we formally started the leadership development program. We were lectured about the works inside the city government and a lot

MCA IN CONCERT

“Victory isn’t just about receiving trophies and medals; it’s about exceeding limits at your worst.” That is what I learned in this year’s school concert. A month before the concert, we decided to think of our concept and music, ideas kept on coming. And after ilang weeks or days of brainstorming and arguing, finally, may natapos na yung Justice.  We started practicing, nahati sa dalawa ang Justice, ang Me Without You   slash   Sold-Out pipz and Retro pipz. Hanggang sa nag-polishing and we thought na okay na ang lahat, we will not have any more problem with our presentation, yung tickets na lang talaga. HAHAHAHA Then Monday came, August 31, 2015, National Heroes Day yun!  Supposedly no classes pero nag-polish kami ng whole performance but yung pinolish pala namin e walang patutunguhan. We had the wrong choice of music, boogie daw yung steps namin and yung concept namin is not approved. That means we had to start from scratch, back to square one, in short, uulit kami sa u

#ExpressingThroughTypography

Image
Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language legible, readable and appealing when displayed. The arrangement of type involves selecting typefaces, point size, line length, line spacing (leading), letter-spacing (tracking), and adjusting the space between letters pairs (kerning).  (source:   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typography ) I have been doing typography for almost three months now and just started posting snapshots of some of my works on my IG account. I was inspired to do it because of Abbey Sy, a blogger and the author of the book   "The ABC's of Hand Lettering " .   I really wanted to buy her book but due to school activities which really required me to spend a lot of money, I don't have a copy of it yet. (very sad story, i know) Since I really can't afford to buy her book YET, I decided to search for typography tips and ideas online which I think really helped me A LOT. And because of it, I'll
