My New Inspiration

Miss Tiffany Uy a.k.a the record-setting iska with a G.W.A of 1.004 caught the attention of Filipino people specially students. (like me) Since she is all over the news now, I just cannot stop reading articles about her that made me admire her so damn much. Tbh, she is now one of my inspirations. (We wouldn’t know, maybe because of her I will study hard now. Lol) Anyway, an article from spot.ph ( http://www.spot.ph/newsfeatures/the-latest-news-features/62785/tiffany-uy-graduation-speech ) showed a list of Miss Uy’s quotable and very inspirational and extremely awesome lines from her graduation speech. And I want to share some of them to you and maybe add some little thoughts coming from me. "Despite all the high marks, achievements and accomplishments under our belt, we come to the stark realization that there are many things that school has not prepared us for." I AGREE. I AGREE. TOTALLY AGREE. Like seriously, all this time I’ve been trying to find someone

EXPECTATIONS VS. REALITY

William Shakespeare once said that the “Expectation is the root of all heartache.” Maybe you’ll expect this is something about love.. you know like the eros kind of love.  (NO okay NO) So this will be another rant because of my experience from school (just recently like seriously just a while ago) So I’m gonna start this by giving a pinch of description about myself. I am a Grade 9 student and I belong to the so-called nerds of the batch. I’m from the First Section, Star Section, whatever your school calls the section where they put all the nerds and hardworking (but not really) students. To be included in the first section means you have to act sophisticated every time. If you know what I mean.. Idk, they always expect us to act accordingly. Like they say we should act like role models of the batch. I MEAN THEY REALLY PUT A LOT OF PRESSURE ON US. They always expect us to do the “fullest” in everything and get disappointed when we don’t reach their really high expectation

BROKEN

This picture was taken last December 31, 2014. So I can say this is HOW my 2014 ended. Well, I understand that we need to say goodbye with such worldly stuffs because they just come and go. (but ahhh I really want a new phone) At that time, I was so sad because my 3 year-old phone will leave me now but then I thought that mom would buy me a new one (so I was so hyped about it and asked her about it) but she did not and I am "phoneless" for like 6 months now. So yes anyway, I decided to tell you about the death of my 3 year-old Galaxy Y because I had a not-so-great realization because of it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA If you will look at it, without pressing the power button, it looks just fine and normal, but when you open it, the broken screen will appear. (just like the picture above) I can relate it to people who look fine or maybe happy outside but they are actually broken inside. They are like wearing a mask and pretending and at the end of the day they will r

Grade 9 is NO JOKE

Fluffy Floating Cotton

I am really into “trying” to take good pictures but I’m always in awe every time I take photographs of the skies.   Every time I try to capture photos of it, I would stare at it for a while and realize how awesome and beautiful the skies are. And then, I would feel like I’m floating or the sky is capturing me.   😂

Remember me for centuries

As of now, I'm pursuing to be a successful author and blogger, don't forget that I also wanted to be a youtuber and a photographer. To be honest, I get myself involved with these kinds of stuffs because I wanted to express myself more and for people to remember me for centuries. It's not that I wanted to be popular because honestly,  I don't want to be popular but I'd rather be well-known. There is a big difference between being  popular  and being  well-known. For me, to be popular means to please people, to trend or get hot for some quite time but to be well-known means to inspire and be remembered for the things that you've done, contributed and influenced. I decided to post my blogs and articles because I wanted to express myself and help other people, especially teenagers who are experiencing the same things that I have experienced or I'm experiencing in my life so that they will be able to just get over with things that bother them. I want to

Perks of K+12 Curriculum

A lot of Filipinos are against this curriculum specially the students and the parents. Before the school year 2013-2014 started, my school held a conference between the school staffs and the parents regarding the new curriculum. Before this conference happened, my mom and I are complaining about this curriculum just like every other teachers, students and parents right now. We say that this is just a waste of money, time and effort. But after the conference, things got clearer to me and my parents. Around the world, there are three countries who do not implement this kind of curriculum and Philippines is one of the three countries. And because I think that the government knew that they could find ways in solving this problem, they took actions and now, we're no longer left out in terms of education. I learned that through this new curriculum we'll be improving the quality of education in our country and be one of the pioneers in producing highly educated students

Happy Little Pill

Note:  This is a free-verse poem I made for my English Class. Anyway this is inspired from the song Happy Little Pill by Troye Sivan. (link to the song:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXeKoGx9zoM ) My Happy Little Pill I would always feel alone, sad and depressed. I would always wear a mask to cover my weariness. Sometimes I would wish that I shouldn’t have existed. It even came to the point where I lost love, I lost faith, and lost everything that I’ve ever had. But then people who became my sunshine came. They cheered me up. They made me smile. They changed me..... for the better. Their existence reminded me on a lot of things.. To always keep the faith, to keep the trust,  to stay strong, and to always keep my head held up high.   They proved me I can do everything. Though I haven’t met them in person, to me it seemed like I grew up knowing them, having them ever since I was born. They are like a pill I need to take whenever I’m depresse

Unpopular Opinion: CYBER BULLYING

Note:  As you can see on the first part of this random thought, I was inspired to write this because of a youtube video. My statements are also based from it and to give credits, here's a link to the video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAWoGBuJMT0 ). I request for complete respect for the statement I wrote and for the video that Ryan made. His point of view is the same as my point of view so I just elaborated some of it and added a few. Here we go :) ---- As we all know, bullying is now such a big deal to all of us. People debate about it and take measures to stop bullying. I got inspired by one of the Youtube videos I watched about Cyber Bullying so here is my unpopular opinion about it. Cyber Bullying is the type of bullying that occurs online, specifically on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr. Just like other bullying incidents, authorities made some measures to stop those. They made laws and spread it online thus making it vira

Filipino language in relation with our economy

Note:  This was also written for our Youth Forum and again, I didn't wish to offend anyone with this statement and I based this on research so yeah here we go :) ---- They say using English as a medium of communicating for the transactions and other formal and important businesses is a must for you to accomplish your business or transaction successfully. Well, yes it is true and it is necessary for someone to speak in English when dealing with business matters because not all people can understand the Filipino Language, especially those who are from foreign countries. But knowing how to speak in English is not an advantage at all times. According to my research and statements by both big and small corporations, local or foreign, say that it’s better to give their trust and their stocks to countries which use their own language first. Korea and Japan are just some of the countries who use and patronize their own language with very high and fast-growing economy. As

Neglecting the Filipino Language

Note:   I made this for a Youth Forum in our school. This statement is not against anything or anyone, just pure observation and conclusion I made.I also researched for this article. I therefore wish that I will not offend any belief in this statement. --- Filipinos nowadays are into social networking sites and through them, Filipinos express themselves faster and easier than expected. Browsing through my timeline on Twitter & Facebook, reading stories and blogs created by Filipino teenagers on Wattpad and other blogspots makes me realize how teenagers of our generation use English more often than our own native language. But if we are to observe further, English is not the only reason why Filipinos neglect our own language. KPOP, JPOP, Koreanovelas, Taiwanese dramas and animes are also hindrances of our generation in using the Filipino Language. Even though we wouldn’t understand what they say without the subtitles, we would still turn up the volume to 100% to make

An Early Realization

Note:  I made this for a journal and it was supposed to be a memoir but I think it didn't turned out like one LOL hehehe Anyway, I didn't wish to offend anyone here especially those who really look forward to receiving recognitions and the likes. I'm just here to stand up for those who are being verbally abused for not caring that much on their grades and achievements. So yaaas. Here we go :) ---- Looking back in the days where studying is my favorite and only hobby, made me realize who I am today and what I wanted to be in the future. I always dreamt of receiving sparkling medals & trophies and to be recognized. Since I started schooling, I never failed to miss any chance in pursuing my dream. Joining contests and focusing on my academics had been my daily routine. Studying became my life and no one and nothing stopped me at that time. When I was nursery, I was only awarded as the second honor and thought it was the end of my world. So on my kindergarten y
