Nutrition Month 2015

MCAIANS happily welcomed the month of July a.k.a the Nutrition Month!!

An opening program for the Nutrition Month was prepared by the faculty members(recognizing the hardest work of our TLE Coordinators). With the theme “Timbang Iwasto! Tamang Nutrisyon at Ehersisyo,” each class in the High School Department of MCA presented their muses and escorts for the Mr. & Ms. Beauty and Brains – an event in which the chosen representatives will have to give pride to their beloved class and most importantly, share their knowledge about the nutritious delicacies that can be found in each region here in the Philippines. The students went really wild when the turn of their representatives came.  Right after the showcasing of representatives, winners was then announced.

Aside from the event mentioned earlier, the T.A.G or Theater Arts Guild of MCA also performed on stage, showing the good and bad effects of our lifestyle. They showed that eating a balanced diet, having proper exercise, taking enough amount of sleep and having a proper hygiene are important when it comes to maintaining a healthy body. Teacher Mai Evangelista also serenated the students with her very angelic voice, the students were so happy and proud at the same time during her performance. A student from Grade 8 also performed and showed her beatboxing talents.

On that day, the contest for each grade level was also announced. At the end of the month of July, the winners for each competition will be announced thus closing of the nutrition month.
